September at Kids n Colors Daycare in Lancaster
September is a special time at Kids n Colors Daycare as we welcome back our little learners! The excitement of seeing familiar faces and meeting new friends fills the air. This month, we’re helping children adjust to routines, with a strong focus on social skills, early literacy, and creative play.
For our preschoolers, we’re easing into school readiness activities, like storytelling and hands-on projects. We also encourage outdoor exploration, as the cooler weather allows for more playtime. It’s a month full of curiosity, growth, and joy!
From morning circle time to afternoon crafts, the children are excited to dive into learning. We’re here to make sure their transition back to daycare is smooth, filled with laughter and discovery.

September 2024 at Kids n Colors Daycare
Little House:
Welcome back, young learners! We’re so excited for all the fun activities we have planned this month. With fall arriving on September 22nd, we’ll be focusing on kindness as our theme. Here’s what we’re introducing this month:
- Letters: Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg
- Numbers: 5, 6, 7, 8
- Colors: Red and Gray
- Shapes: Rectangle and Octagon
We’ll also practice motor skills with our cooking activity, stirring, and explore the five senses. We’ll talk about kindness when we discuss feelings to help build empathy.
Homework: Starting this month, homework will be sent home every Monday and returned on Fridays. This will include take-home projects that you can keep. We encourage all parents to engage in their child’s learning and development!

The Bungalow:
As September begins, we’re continuing to support our Bungalow kids with their homework while ensuring they still have plenty of fun. This month, like Little House, we’ll focus on kindness and the theme of fall. We’ve prepared lots of enriching crafts to keep your children engaged and learning while having fun.
